Amanda & Michael's Wedding // 1620 Winery // Plymouth, MA
Amanda and Mike’s wedding at 1620 Winery was the perfect winter wedding. And I had been extremely excited to see Mike and Amanda again ever since we met at their engagement session. They are so sweet and their love for each other definitely shows in all the photos. They're the type of people who you just want to be around.
We started at a hotel not far from the venue, where both the guys and girls were getting ready. When we arrived, per usual, I started photographing all of Amanda’s gorgeous details. She seriously put a lot of thought into everything and it was all so beautiful! Including the matching robes that matched their dresses, and even the flowers girls little matching robes. It was too cute. Amanda’s gown fit her perfectly with the keyhole back and long train. The bridesmaids wore dusty blue dresses which I think more couples should do for a winter wedding! Their fur shawls and all-white bouquets completed the look!
The guys wore black suits with blues ties and they all looked very dapper! I didn’t get to spend the morning with them, as one of my assistants, Sarah, was with them. She came back and said how fun they all were… and then I got to see that during the wedding party formals. They made the photos so much fun, despite being in the freezing cold. You will crack up at some of the hilarious images of the guys putting their hands in each other’s pockets, pushing Mike towards Amanda to kiss her, going in for a group hug, and just being excited. Mike and Amanda picked a great group to stand by their side as they said their “I do’s”. We did most of the photos outside quick and then did a few more of just Amanda and Mike inside. Amanda created a gorgeous photo spot with flowers and candles lining the staircase. I can definitely imagine that image printed large and hanging in their home! I’m so glad they decided to do a first look because Mike’s reaction was priceless. It was probably one of the sweetest first looks I’ve ever witnessed and his reaction when Amanda came down the aisle was just as great! The only difference was for the first look, they got to hug and kiss and share the sweetest moment together.
The ceremony was so sweet. A long time family friend officiated and all eyes were on Amanda and Michael. I’ve said it once, but I’ll say it again. I love the ceremony setting at 1620 Winery. The high ceiling, with that amazing chandelier. SO gorgeous. After the ceremony staff quickly turned the room around for the reception AND they made sure that vendors were fed right away so we could get back to capturing the awesome night! After dinner, everyone was SO ready to get out on the dance floor and man did they have a good time! It was the seriously perfect day…. until I had to drive home in a blizzard.
Thank you, Amanda and Mike, for allowing me to capture your incredible day!
