Galentine's Day Brunch at #theparkerplace
“What’s Galentine’s Day? Oh, only the best day of the year.” - Leslie Knope
Thank you Leslie Knope for creating Galentine’s day. I love an excuse to get together with all my gal pals over brunch! This was the first real party I’ve hosted in our new house and I can’t wait to host more! I’ve always loved hosting but we have never really had the space to do so. That’s part of the reason we fell in love with this house is the open concept main floor and the huge kitchen and island.
The idea for this party was inspired by one, watching Parks and Recreation and two, the dollar spot in target. Although, the only thing I ended up using from the dollar spot was the heart water pitcher and napkins. After purchasing those two things I did what anyone would do…. I went to Pinterest. (Make sure to follow me on Pinterest for more party and wedding inspiration.) There were so many great ideas and I actually had to limit them to mini waffles, heart shaped pancakes, mini avocado toast, bacon on a stick, french toast sticks, mini scones, fruit, mini chicken salad on croissants, and of course, mimosas! And then I decorated with my cute pink and chair and I knew I wanted to have some sort of photo backdrop because…. well, you know, I’m a photographer. So my friends actually created this adorable paper heart backdrop! I picked up 5 different types of flowers from Trader Joe’s to make two arrangements which were displayed on the counter but then also used for the photos!
I can’t wait to do this all again next year! Who wants to come?
