Alex & Kelly's Winter Engagement Session // Groton, MA

Alex and Kelly flew in from Virginia for a weekend to prepare for their July wedding. They had their food tasting, picked out bridesmaid dresses and, of course, their engagement session!! Which we had the most perfect March weather for. There was still snow on the ground, but the sun was shining and it wasn’t too cold. Kelly really wanted a farm setting and would had loved for horses to be roaming around in the background, however, that’s hard to find in the Winter, so we went with the beautiful barn and beautiful hills at Gibbet Hill Farm. If only we could have taken photos where Alex proposed to Kelly on Chincoteague island, Virginia, where there are wild ponies all over! What a dream that would be. But who needs ponies when you have a couple who is insanely in love and super adorable?

I met these two over a video call and right away fell in love with their sweet personalities. But, I was especially excited to meet them in person and spend a couple hours chatting with them to get to know them even more. And I must say, I absolutely love the way these two interact. Kelly had mentioned in an email what a gentleman Alex was from the moment they started dating and how he is the kindest person, and I got to see that during this session. At one point Kelly said to Alex “you look so happy!” and he said “I am happy!” So sweet! Alex and Kelly are definitely the perfect pair. Just from the little time I spent with them I can see that they both have huge hearts and are very caring.

Kelly jokingly said that they want to have another engagement session the following week… honestly, I wish we could have made that happen, because I would hang out and take photos of Kelly and Alex any day! At least I get to spend the entire day with them in July for their WEDDING! I’m already so excited!
