Curtis & Kerri’s Gold and Green St. Patrick’s Day Wedding // Gibbet Hill // Groton, MA
Curtis and Kerri’s St. Patrick’s Day wedding celebration sham-rocked! On a scale from 1 - 10 how cheesey was that?
Kerri had to have been the most laid back bride I’ve ever seen. She was so chill about everything the entire day and wanted to make sure everyone was well taken care of and enjoying the day (HER wedding day!). Her younger sister, who was her Maid of Honor, even mentioned how Kerri has always been the one to take good care of everyone, including her two little sisters who look up to Kerri a great amount. She proceeded to say that Curt is stuck with all 3 of the girls, since they are a package deal. I just love the bond these sister share!
Curt was also super easy going and his goal was to make sure Kerri was happy, relaxed and enjoying herself - good man! While the men were getting ready at the hotel, Curtis’ (almost) father-in-law showed him how to tie his tie as a ‘double’ – it took 3 tries, but made for some great photos, haha! Then, Kerri’s Dad stopped by the girls room and stepped in to finish buttoning Kerri’s Gown.
Kerri and Curt decided to share their first look before the ceremony, and it’s a good thing – because we captured the most adorable photos of them on a cute little white porch while the light was still good. By this time, we were running a little behind schedule, but I am so glad that Curt and Kerri had the chance to spend a few minutes of a lone time (well, with Sarah and I there, of course) and we were able to get so many great photos of them in a short amount of time.
Just a few minutes after their first look it was time to get them married!! It was the sweetest little ceremony inside the most beautiful barn. After they said their vows and shared a kiss the officiant ended with an Irish blessing and Kerri and Curt walked down the aisle as husband and wife to “The Office” Theme song. That was one of my favorite moments of the entire day – Huge office fan here.
Cocktail hour proceeded on the heated porch while staff flipped the room for the reception and we finished the formals portraits. The reception had so many cute detail; flip flops for dancing in, sunglasses that said “lucky in love” and even a ping pong table! That was definitely the first time I’ve seen that at a wedding reception. The food was amazing and dinner was followed by Irish step dancing to the song “shipping off to Boston.”
I would say that this is probably the best St. Patrick’s Day I’ve ever had! What better way to spend it than with great food, awesome dancing and celebrating the marriage of Curtis and Kerri! Cheers to them!
