Alex & Kimberly's Romantic Wedding at Governor's Inn //Rochester, NH
Alex and Kimberly met while working together. Their mutual friend, Chris, spoke very highly of Alex to Kimberly, so they started talking and realized how much they have in common and now they have been inseparable ever since (Kimberly’s words ;)). They planned their wedding in just six months, and everything came together beautifully. What was most important to them is that they celebrated with their close friends and family. They wanted an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour and inside reception and Governor’s inn provided just that! They chose deep forest green and blush for their colors to create a simple yet romantic wedding theme.
All day Kimberly was so excited and ready to marry Alex. Though Kimberly and I met through a video call, this was the first time I have met the two of them in person, and let me tell you, seeing them together made me so happy. They are the perfect pair. Alex was constantly making Kimberly laugh, which made for the best candid portraits of them! From the short time I was with them it was so clear just how in love they are and that makes me so, so happy.
They had a short and sweet ceremony, officiated by their friends, Paula and Kyle. At the reception, Alex’s Brother gave a hilarious speech which he started out something like this “Alex asked the smartest he knew to be his best man, and he said no. Then he asked the most handsome man he knew, and he said no, then he asked the most popular guy he knows… and finally, I said yes.” And then Kimberly’s younger sister gave a heartwarming speech talking about how Kimberly is the best role model and how much she looks up to her older sister so much. It was so sweet and made me a little teary eyed. The food prepared by the Governor’s inn was fantastic, and after dinner almost everyone was on the dance floor, which made for a fantastic celebration!
I absolutely love the love that Kimberly and Alex share and I am so glad I could capture it through my lens. Kimberly said that the photos of their wedding day were one of the most important things to her. So to hear that and then for them to hire me was such a huge compliment. So excited to share just a few of my favorite images from Alex and Kimberly’s wedding day! Enjoy!
