Alex & Keisha's Enchanted Forest Wedding at Minnesota Elks Camp // Nisswa, MN

Alex and Keisha made their vows to each other on August 17th at a very special place; Elks youth camp in Nisswa, Minnesota. Keisha’s parents have operated this camp for the past 19 years, so Keisha has basically grown up there. While Alex and Keisha were dating they spent 2 Summers working at camp together. They loved that their friends and family got to experience a little taste of the “camp life”. They also had a lot of help from so many friends who work at the camp who have watched Alex and Keisha’s Relationship transpire. Everyone who has met Keisha and Alex knows that they are the perfect pair. They are both so fun, bubbly, and shine their light wherever they go.

There were so many special moments throughout their wedding day. They shared a first look down a long path in the woods, which was beautiful and secluded. That is also where we photographed the formals wedding party and family portraits. The path to the ceremony was led by a sign that read “memory lane” and had photos of Keisha and Alex all the way down. Keisha’s brother made a beautiful wooden cross that stood beside where Alex and Keisha said their vows. Alex’s Uncle officiated the wedding, they had 2 close friends sing the song “O come to the altar“ right after Keisha walked down the aisle. I definitely started tearing up because that is one of my favorite songs and it was beautifully done. The bride and groom each wrote their own vows which were both funny and meaningful. The highlight of the reception was when Alex surprised Keisha with a flash mob dance with all of his groomsmen and ushers to the song “Git up” by Blanco Brown.

This day was absolutely gorgeous from Keisha’s amazing wedding gown to every single thoughtful and unique detail. When Alex and Keisha asked if I would be their wedding photographer and then asked the follow up question: “would you rather be our photographer or a guest?” I said I would absolutely love to be your photograph so I can spend the entire day, from getting ready to the last song, with you!
