Daniel & Kaitlyn's Elegant Spring Wedding at Church Landing // Meredith, New Hampshire
Kaitlyn and Dan have been waiting for this day for a while, and if I’m being honest, so have I! The moment I met these two, we just clicked. It was so easy to talk to them and it was so exciting to hear their plans for their spring wedding at Church Landing – Mill Falls in Meredith, New Hampshire! Then, after their engagement session, which ran extra-long because we were just having so much fun, I couldn’t wait for the day I would get to photograph them again! That day finally came on April 27th and it was more beautiful than I had imagined it would be. The planning Kaitlyn and Dan put into all the little details that would make up their perfect wedding celebration was well worth it! The concept all started with a bottle of Whiskey…. No, the vision didn’t come to them while they were drinking the whiskey, they just loved the colors of the label on the bottle – Navy, gold and light pink. It was such a gorgeous combo, and I loved how it all came together.
The day started off a little rainy, but I was confident that it would stop by the time we would start formals portraits outside, and it did! I spent the afternoon with the girls while my second photographer, Jaclyn, photographed the guys. The girls were so fun and super chill to hang out with. Sounds like it was a good time over in the guy’s room, too. One of the highlights was Dan’s Grandfather taking a shot with him.
Dan and Kaitlyn planned to have an indoor ceremony, in the ballroom, being that the weather in New England would probably be a little chilly still, and it was. After the ceremony, guests gathered in the foyer for cocktail hour while the Church Landing staff flipped the ballroom for the reception. During that time, Kaitlyn and Dan’s family and wedding party joined me outside for formals portraits. The lake was the perfect backdrop, and though it was a bit chilly, I’m just glad there was no rain and the clouds made the perfect ‘light diffuser’ for the photos!
When we went back inside, the whole place smelled like donuts – it was heavenly! Everyone was seated for dinner and the wedding party made their grand entrance. Dan and Kaitlyn went right into their first dance, followed by the parents’ dances. After everyone ate, Dan and Kaitlyn cut their donut! I love it when couples choose to do something unique like this!
The day sure did fly by; I guess everyone was having so much fun. Have a look at the photos to see just how much fun Dan and Kaitlyn’s day was! If you’re planning a fun celebration I would love to chat! Fill out the form here to check if I’m available for your date.
