Dan & Kaitlyn's Downtown Newburyport Engagement Session
Kaitlyn and Dan’s engagement session in downtown Newburyport was spectacular. Kaitlyn had contacted me a few days before asking if we should reschedule because there was a chance of rain, knowing New England weather I told her we should wait to decide the day of. When the session day came, there was still a small chance of rain, so I told Kaitlyn I do have cute umbrellas and I’m willing to take the risk, but understood if they wanted to reschedule. Friends, I am SO glad they rolled with it and chose not to reschedule, because everything about this session was perfect…. Other than the fact that some random guy tried to tell me how to do my job. Thanks guy, but Dan, Kaitlyn and I got this! The weather was perfect, the location was beautiful, these two were naturals in front of the camera, and the conversation was effortless. They even told me about all the best places to eat there in Newburyport… I will be back to get tacos and margaritas at Agave, that is for sure! And hopefully for more session here too. It’s such a gorgeous location for photos or for a date night… or for photos and a date night! Just ask Dan and Kaitlyn!
If it isn’t obvious yet, I loved, loved, loved capturing these images, going through them and editing them. Here are just a few of my favorites! The last one might be the best photo ever, though, you’ll see why. Funny story about that image... As I was going through each photo I came across a photo of Dan popping his leg and making the best facial expression. During the session, I reminded Kaitlyn to pop her leg, but I didn’t even realize Dan did this until after the session when I was culling through the images. It made me laugh so hard. Oh, I can hardly wait to capture Dan and Kaitlyn’s love at their wedding in the Spring and I can only imagine how much fun of a celebration it is going to be! I think we need to have Dan reenact the “leg pop,” what do you think?
