Eric & Lizzy's Summer Laid-back Wedding at Zukas Hilltop Barn

Eric and Lizzy said their “I do’s” at the Zukas Hilltop Barn in Spencer, MA. When I arrived I was in awe of this beautiful, well-kept, venue. So much beauty at this little estate! It’s not hard to see why Eric and Lizzy chose this location for their celebration of love!

The girls had their hair and makeup done and get dressed in a little cottage on the property, making it so convenient to have all the happenings in one location; getting ready, ceremony, and reception. There was great light coming from the large window in the bathroom and enough room to fit Lizzy, her mom, four bridesmaids, and two photographers! Ha! I love how the photos of Lizzy getting into her gown turned out. It was hard for Lizzy’s mom and sister not to cry when they saw Lizzy as the beautiful bride she is in her stunning gown.

The ceremony overlooked the beautiful hillsides. These high school sweethearts saw each other for the first time that day as Lizzy walked down the aisle alongside her dad. It was so sweet seeing their reactions and how excited they were to finally being saying their vows to each other after many awaited years! And I loved Lizzy’s mom, Peggy’s reaction after the ceremony! You could tell she was so excited for her daughter and new son-in-law… and she may have been thinking “one down, one to go.”

After the ceremony, we took family and wedding party formals at another beautiful location on the property (I loved how easy and convenient it was to have so much beauty around us and having the ceremony and reception in the same place!) We found some shade and I loved how the sun came through the trees. After taking photos of the entire wedding party they all started coming up to me and giving me hugs, high-fives, and thanking me. Seriously, these people are the sweetest and I couldn’t be more grateful! Lizzy, Eric, my second photographer, Sarah and I walked around the grounds and took so many gorgeous portraits of the two of them. They are just gorgeous, aren’t they??

The start of the reception was one I’ll never forget, after the grand entrance the DJ had everyone come up to dance and celebrate with Eric and Lizzy! It was so much fun! What a joy it was to be part of this wedding day! I hope you enjoy the photos!
