Elegant Summer Garden Wedding at Woodstock Inn - Woodstock, Vermont

To say Ian and Lauren’s wedding was beautiful would be an understatement. Every little detail, all the florals, the gorgeous Woodstock Inn, the hand written vows, the perfect weather for this outdoor event. It all made up the perfect wedding day for these two. And what made it even more special is that they got to share their first look and formal photos at Ian’s families farm, where they spend a lot of time in the Summer. The mountain views, the pond, the barn, it was the perfect place for photos!

I clicked with Lauren right away after reading one of her first emails to me. What stood out was her sense of humor, here’s an example of that: “Ian and I found love in a hopeless place, aka Hong Kong in Harvard Square. If you are unfamiliar it’s a wonderful dive bar haha.”

And the fact that photography is very important to her. She mentioned she changes out the photos in their house seasonally – I love that!!

Their engagement session was one of my favorite sessions to date. Not only because of how photogenic they are, and how beautiful the beach was, but because of the conversation we had during the session. So after that day, it’s safe to say I was extremely excited to see them again and celebrate with them on their wedding day! When that day finally arrived I was blown away by all the beauty! All the gorgeous florals (So. Many. Florals.) by Birds of a flower, the awesome ceremony spot with a white building behind them (and again, the amazing floral arch,) the cocktail hour which was surrounded by tons of lilac bushes – it smelled absolutely divine! And the tent reception with delicious food served family style, and pie for dessert, followed by music from the incredible House on Fire Band. This was quite the celebration of love! I think it’s pretty clear from the photos that Ian and Lauren are the cutest couple and they are so obsessed with each other in the best way. I love the way they look at each other, hold one another and laugh together.

Ian and Lauren, I hope you love reliving this perfect day through your images. I know I have as I’ve edited each one. I am so incredibly happy for you two and I am so glad I got to celebrate with you and document your day, the love you share and the love of your friends and family. Enjoy your photos!
