Joe & Nicole's Wedding at Long Meadow Country Club // Lowell, MA
Joe and Nicole’s wedding day was the perfect celebration with their closest friends and family. They were both beaming from the moment Sarah and I arrived until the moment we left.
When Sarah and I walked in, Nicole, her maid of honor and her mom were way ahead of schedule, with hair and makeup already done! Nicole could not wait to get in her gown! Then, we went up to where the guys were getting ready, it was the same for Joe! He was ready to go and was anxious to get to the church to wait for his bride. It was so adorable how excited both Joe and Nicole were to finally be married! They have waited for this day for a long time. During Shannon’s Maid of honor speech, she said: “On January 19th, 2016, Nicole sent me a Facebook message that read “I love Joe lol, but I don’t want to come off crazy just yet.” I responded with “I’m glad you have him, I will like him one day.” to which she said “I want to marry him one day.” …. That was two weeks after they started dating.” Well, she wasn’t crazy for thinking that because on January 1st, 2018 Joe planned a romantic get-away to Steele Hill Resorts in New Hampshire. On the way back, at sunset, he brought her to Immaculate church, where they had always talked about getting married one day, got down on one knee and asked Nicole to be his wife.
I knew I liked Nicole when she emailed me “btw, I’m just as obsessed with tacos as you are.” Then I met Joe and saw what a gentleman he was, and how well Nicole and Joe loved each other. That is what I love the most about this job. It’s not just about the photos, it’s about the relationships. I pray that these images will impact their marriage in the best way, that they will look at these photos and remember feeling so excited to marry their best friend. It was such a privilege to partake in Joe and Nicole’s wedding day. I will never forget when Joe said to me after their engagement session, “Nicole has wanted you to take our photos before we were even engaged.” That is such a huge compliment and I truly am honored that I got to do so! I am excited to see their love story continue. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Paquette!
