Jackie & Dan // Engagement session // Old Stone Church
Jackie and Dan's engagement session at Old stone church in Boylston, MA was nothing short of amazing! I've learned that New England weather is all over the place (same as Wisconsin, really) and you really don't know until the day of what it's going to do. The day before this session it had rained all day, but we lucked out with gorgeous sunshine to match Jackie and Dan's bright personalities! We had so much fun this night, we chatted about their wedding plans, Jackie and I bonded over our love for comfy shoes, and they are seriously the sweetest, because, after the session, they had left as I was putting my camera gear away and they then called to make sure I got on the road alright. The. Sweetest. Ever. Also super sweet, the story of how Dan proposed. They were on a trip to Savannah, GA for the 4th of July. One morning they walked to Forsyth Park. They were taking in the beauty of the fountain when Dan stopped to tell Jackie how much he loves her and how thankful he is that they met. Just then a trumpet player started playing "Can't Help Falling in Love with You." Dan got down on one knee and Jackie couldn't help but cry tears of joy. Later she found out that Dan hadn't planned the trumpet player, but it sure did make for an even more special moment and a great story! I asked if that will be their first dance song. They said they are torn between that song and another. Comment below if you think they should have their first dance as husband and wife to "Can't Help Falling in Love with You" by Elvis Presley, or if you think of another way they can incorporate the song into their wedding.
