The Best Homemade Chili Recipe // Easy and Delicious
Fall and Winter = Perfect time to make a big batch chili! There are many reason I love this meal:
It's super easy to make
It’ll warm you right up
It’s great for super bowl Sunday
We always have leftovers
It’s easy to keep the ingredients on hand
It’s DELICIOUS
Enough talking, let’s get to the recipe, shall we?
- Ingredients:
- 1lb Ground Beef
- 1 Large Onion
- 1 Large Bell Pepper
- 2 cans Tomato Sauce
- 1 Can Diced Tomatoes
- 2 Cans Kidney Beans
- 1 Cup Water
- 2Tbs Cumin (I always just guess on this, but I’m pretty sure it’s somewhere around 2 table spoons)
- 2Tbs Chili Powder (same with this)
- Salt and Pepper to Taste
- Shredded Cheese (Optional)
- Crackers or tortilla chips (Optional)
Directions:
1. Finely chop onion and bell pepper
2. In Medium pot, cook bell pepper and onion until fragrant
(about 3-5 minutes.)
3. Add ground beef and cook until browned, then drain grease
4. Add remaining ingredients and cook to a simmer.
5. Portion, add cheese and crackers if you’d like, and enjoy!
